Pars Root empowers newly arrived Iranian teens in the Los Angeles area as they build their lives in the United States. We provide language support, academic guidance, social connection, and emotional encouragement to help students confidently adjust to a new culture and school system. Through a safe and welcoming community, we help teens plant new roots, celebrate their identity, and grow into strong, connected leaders.
We are the children of first-generation immigrant parents currently in 10th grade. Growing up, we’ve heard firsthand how challenging it was for our parents to adjust to a new country, culture, and school system. They often shared how much easier their journey could have been if they had a supportive community of peers their own age.
That’s what inspired us to start this organization.
We want to help newly arrived Iranian teens navigate life in the United States with more confidence, connection, and support than previous generations had. By creating a space where teens can learn, grow, and feel understood, we hope to make the transition smoother and a lot less lonely.
